Situated on the promontory of the Aravali range often called as the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles), the Jaigarh Fort overlooks the Amber Fort and the Maota Lake. It stands as the royal architectural wonder on top of the Aravalli ranges and its unique rainwater harvesting system is quite interesting among its other distinguished features. The beautiful carvings on its wall give it a unique identity while its exquisite interiors continue mesmerising the visitors. This fort was constructed during the period of Jai Singh II between 15th to 18th century to store weapons and other military utilities.
The visitors can march past looking at the used weapons and other war utilities being showcased in the fort museum.
Besides the exceptional military artillery and other attractions displayed here, the gigantic canon Jaivana constitutes the major attraction of the fort. The other armoury displayed here includes swords, puppets, artefacts, pictures and other war utilities of the Rajput rulers.
